Commercial Breaks & Beats

Hi!

I've exhausted all options and was wondering if any experts here could help me. There used to be this really sad mellow piece of music on an advert many years ago. I can't remember which ad but the notes for the music went like:

F E D C ... F... A... G ... G... D .. E .. F... A

They are the main melody notes that I know loop a little. If anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

I have to say that it doesn't ring a bell, but is is a little like Richard III by Supergrass.

Thanks for your reply. I'll check that out but I doubt it will be as I know it's a classical piece of music.

I think it might help if you were able to supply a bit more info, such as the speed and the kind of classical music it is - are there particular distinctive instruments?

Long shot - maybe 'Funeral for a Friend (Elton John).
