New 02 advert

Wow just saw the new 02 advert, the one with the bubble flying around and all the scenery moving in motion to the music, also had a bit of a pong moment.

does anyone know this song?

haha, very amusing, i take it you were watching beauty and the geek as well

also rummaging through the internet, i think that that was its first play on tv as there seems to be no mention of it anywhere, theres no clips of it, not even on visit4info which is normally upto date.

i'm quite worried that it was a remix made for the commercial as the sound meshed with the imagery rather well.

It's definantly not release the pressure, that was used on an o2 advert a long while back.

this tune is more like something autechre would make, i've got a feeling this is a remix of something as theres a chopped up sample of a woman singing towards the end, it's quite "add (n) to (x)" y

I have the song as: Utopia by Jackson

The artist is sometimes 'Jackson' or 'Jackson & His Computer Band'

I've had this track lurking around for a while, you can find it on the album 'Smash'; seeing the advert brought my attention back to it.

I'm not completely sure, but I think the new music on the new 02 advert is produced by a group called 'Boards of Canada'. I could be wrong.

Alot of their music has been used on other adverts. I have all of their albums and soon as I heard it I thought it must be by them.

my first thought was aphex twin. it's definitely inspired by. it's a good tune!

Utopia by Jackson and his Computer Band: a very Warp Warp artist.

Influences would have to include Aphex Twin of course, but this particular track doesn't half sound like Chris Clark's Indigo Optimus; Clark's is a better track though, dare I say it!
