It appears the piece was a commissioned track from a London Sound Company who specialise in this area:
It was composed by a guy called Ross Gregory at Aardvark Sound Company (7292 9969).
There you go. Nice piece as well but unavailable, I think.

Yep. That's the one. I was also thinking Michael Andrews as well but I think Donnie Darko is the only thing he has done which Lloyds TSB could work from because I don't think they'd pay him to do something original.
