I think the adverts you are referring to are for Orange UK - I personally found the songs used quite annoying, but each to their own!

Sadly I don't know what the songs were. Someone, somewhere, will!

I can hear in my head what song it is but I don't know exactly what song it is. However, it is similar in style to Calvin Harris. Edit: Is it not "Colours" by Calvin Harris? Normally, you can view the playlist at http://www.channel4.com/entertainment/tv/microsites/H/hollyoaks/music/previous/ but unf...

I don't know the exact piece of music, but it sounds like Craig Armstrong or Max Richter - they may be a good place to start.

If you mean the recent adverts "Devastation" for home insurance, and "Destruction" for car insurance/vandalism cover, then I'll make a mental note to pay attention next time I watch them.

I think I subconsciously ignore them since I'm already a customer....

Perhaps I'm wrong, but they sound distinctly like production music - high quality production music though.

You might like to try http://www.extrememusic.com/ and see if there's anything in the X-Series...

Out of ideas after that.

I've had a listen a few times and can't place it. It sounded a bit like Daft Punk (I thought of their track Television Rules the Nation as Charlie Brooker does seem to have a sense of humour... I don't have the full track to hand and the sample on iTunes is not the same, but there's an outside chanc...

Just a guess - is it Black Horse and the Cherry Tree by KT Tunstall, or a cover version?

Sorry can't be of more help - I didn't see it.

A long shot here, since the lyrics you describe don't match either of these suggestions. Lone female singers with acoustic guitars are pretty plentiful at the moment... Suggestion 1 Is it the Audi R8 advert? More information can be found in this post [/url] and if that's the one, the track is The Be...

Is it by any chance "Acceptable in the 80s" by Calvin Harris? The upbeat mix (I think it's called the GTi mix) was being used tonight on the C4 trailer for "How to..."

Hope this helps.
